Evidence-Based Approaches
Our work is informed by evidence-based therapies, including:

These approaches can help you better understand your inner experience, challenge unhelpful patterns, and reconnect with what matters to you.
What Is Depression?
Depression can quietly affect how you think, feel, and move through the world. You may feel numb, exhausted, unmotivated, or unlike yourself — even when life looks “fine” from the outside. At Ivy Counselling and Wellness, we offer compassionate, non-judgmental support to help you feel understood and supported as you begin to heal.
Depression is more than sadness or having a bad day. It can impact your emotional wellbeing, energy, relationships, and sense of meaning. Many people experience depression differently, but common signs include:
Persistent low mood or feelings of emptiness
Loss of interest or pleasure in activities you once enjoyed
Fatigue or low energy
Changes in sleep or appetite
Difficulty concentrating or making decisions
Feelings of guilt, shame, or worthlessness
Withdrawing from others or feeling disconnected
Depression can develop in response to life stress, transitions, loss, trauma, hormonal changes, or it may arise without a clear cause. Therapy can help you make sense of what you’re experiencing and find ways forward.
